We have 23 gospel and Christian artist files as of Oct 24, 2026. Ten of those acts, including Solomon Ray and Xania Monet, have said themselves, or through their creator, that they use AI or present an AI persona. Twelve carry an AI label from Spotify or Deezer with no creator statement about the music; George Paul is one of them. One, Hammer to the Cross, is conflicting. Below, each act is grouped by what the evidence supports, not by how it sounds. The full lists are on our gospel and christian pages.

A note on the labels. Spotify’s “AI Persona” badge is about whether an artist’s public identity is an AI-generated photorealistic person, not how the music was made. “AI Persona” means the artist told Spotify; “Likely AI Persona” means Spotify reviewed the profile and decided (Spotify Support, checked Oct 24, 2026). Deezer’s “AI-generated content” tag comes from its detection tool and is applied per album, not per track (Deezer).

Solomon Ray, the AI gospel singer on the charts

In Nov 2025, Solomon Ray had four songs on Billboard’s Gospel Digital Song Sales chart, including the No. 1, “Find Your Rest.” Billboard reported that the creator is Christopher Jermaine Townsend, a rapper known as Topher. He told Billboard he “co-wrote” the lyrics with ChatGPT, made the music in Suno, mastered it with an online tool and generated the singer’s look with Artlist.io (Billboard, checked Oct 24, 2026). He said he started after reading about Xania Monet.

The New York Post reported that the EP “Faithful Soul” reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top 100 Christian and Gospel Albums chart. It quoted Christian artist Forrest Frank: “AI does not have the Holy Spirit inside of it.” Townsend answered that the project is “an extension of my creativity” and “definitely inspired by a Christian. It may not be performed by one” (New York Post, checked Oct 24, 2026). Our file is “Creator disclosed AI”. The wider chart picture is in AI songs on the charts.

George Paul: the talent-show videos

Many searches ask whether George Paul is real. Our George Paul file records only what Deezer shows: it tags the “Jesus Is Coming” and “Jesus Is Love” releases credited to George Paul “AI-generated content” (checked Oct 23, 2026). Our verdict is “Platform AI label”.

The videos are a separate question. Snopes rated “Fake” the claim that videos show him performing on “America’s Got Talent.” It found green screen effects, audio that did not sound authentic, “possible AI usage,” and judge shots reused from other episodes. It also found no sign of him on the official AGT or “The Voice” channels (Snopes, checked Oct 24, 2026). Our fake talent show videos guide covers how these clips are built.

Gospel and Christian acts that say they use AI

These files are “Creator disclosed AI”: the act or its creator said so. Each file links the statement and the date we read it.

  • Xania Monet: our file records that she is a persona created by Mississippi poet Telisha “Nikki” Jones, who writes the lyrics and has said she uses AI for the image and Suno for the music. Billboard also names Jones as her creator and Suno as the tool (Billboard). The record deal is covered in our Xania Monet story.
  • Delana Hope: the Spotify biography says “The voice is AI. The message is not.” and credits songs “written by a real human songwriter”.
  • I Needed This Dave: the official website says the songs on Volume 1 were “written in a room with nothing but faith and Suno”.
  • May the Lord Studio: its website says “some voices, imagery and elements of production may be created or supported using artificial intelligence”.
  • Noah Graves: the act’s Instagram introduced it on May 7, 2026 as “the first ai persona for The Christian Wave”.
  • Spalexma, credited with “We Are Charlie Kirk”, self-disclosed on Spotify as an “AI Persona”.

Self-disclosed “AI Persona” on Spotify, with a Deezer tag: Ava Holloway (“I Never Let Him Fall”), Mikhail Bennett (“Rain on the Window”) and The Soulful Gentlemen (“God Hits Different”), all checked Oct 24, 2026. Solomon Ray, above, is the tenth.

Gospel and Christian acts with a platform label only

These acts have not made a statement we could find. A platform applied a label, and that is all our file claims. Every file is also listed on our gospel and Christian genre pages.

Spotify “Likely AI Persona” plus a Deezer “AI-generated content” tag (checked Oct 23 or Oct 24, 2026):

  • Abel Abaddon: Deezer tags “The Mountian Will Bow”.
  • Ava Thorn: Deezer tags “God, Where Are You?”. Several tracks are duets with Noah Graves.
  • Candidly Spoken: Deezer tags “God Got My Back”.
  • OUTLAW GOSPEL: Deezer tags “OUTLAW GOSPEL” and lists the releases under “Rust & Redemption Records”.
  • Rae Haven: Deezer tags “Trust The Process (Worship Version)”.
  • Thompsxn Therapy: Deezer tags “DON’T PLAY WITH ME” and “Life Been Good To Me”.
  • Gravel & Grace: Deezer tags “Leave the Lamp on Lord”. The songs credit a singer called Arthur Hayes; no person behind the project has been named.
  • Shunned at a Funeral: Spotify and Deezer both label it. Our file also records the project’s FAQ, which says it is not an “AI band” and that “the heart of the project is human.”

Spotify “AI Persona” badge, but no creator statement about the music: Aria Blu and China Styles (checked Oct 23, 2026). Our file for China Styles records that Apple Music’s biography names Margaret Bynum as the person behind the project.

Spotify “Likely AI Persona” only: Juno Skye, a contemporary Christian act whose songs, per our file, are credited to Nguyen Duc Nam.

George Paul, above, completes the twelve.

Conflicting: Hammer to the Cross

Hammer to the Cross is filed as “Unclear”. Spotify shows a “Likely AI Persona” badge and Deezer tags its releases “AI-generated content”. Futurism reported in May 2026 that the act had put out 35 full-length albums since 2025 and that Jared Holm is credited on Apple Music as its sole composer and producer. Holm, who runs Iron Faith Records, told Futurism that “all content is human generated” and that AI only assists social media content (Futurism, checked Oct 25, 2026). Whether AI is used in the music is unconfirmed, so we don’t pick a side.

How to check a gospel singer yourself

  1. Open the Spotify profile and look for the badge next to the name, then the “Artist Badges” section under About (Spotify Support). Remember it is about the image, not the audio.
  2. Look up an album on Deezer for the “AI-generated content” notice. Deezer applies the tag “at the album level rather than the track level” (Deezer), so check more than one album.
  3. Read the bio and official site. Several acts above say it in their own words.
  4. Be careful with viral church and talent-show clips. In the George Paul videos, Snopes traced judge shots to real “America’s Got Talent” episodes (Snopes).
  5. If nothing turns up, the honest answer is “unconfirmed”. Our guide on how to tell if a song is AI has the full checklist, what the Spotify AI Persona label means explains the badge, and how to block AI music covers what each app lets you hide. Country acts are in AI country singers.

FAQ

Is Solomon Ray AI?

Yes, by his creator’s account. Billboard reported that Townsend, a 34-year-old rapper, made it on a $3,500 computer in his basement in Philadelphia, Mississippi, and that the lyrics of “Find Your Rest” are derived from Bible verses (Billboard).

Is Xania Monet a gospel singer?

Partly; our file lists her under R&B and gospel. Her first Billboard chart entry, for the week dated Sep 20, 2025, came with “Let Go, Let God” at No. 21 on Hot Gospel Songs; the same week “How Was I Supposed to Know” topped R&B Digital Song Sales (Billboard). Her R&B side is covered in AI soul and R&B singers.

Is George Paul real?

Snopes rated “Fake” the claim that videos show him on “America’s Got Talent” (Snopes). Deezer tags three releases credited to him “AI-generated content”, per our file. Whether a real person sings on them has not been confirmed.

Do Christian artists accept AI music?

Not all. Forrest Frank said “AI does not have the Holy Spirit inside of it,” and a human worship leader also named Solomon Ray spoke out after the AI act’s chart success (New York Post).
