Is Hammer to the Cross AI?

Our verdict

Unclear

Conflicting: Spotify shows a “Likely AI Persona” badge on Hammer to the Cross and Deezer tags its releases “AI-generated content”, but Iron Faith Records, which Futurism linked to the act, says its content is “human generated”. Whether AI is used in the music is unconfirmed.

Jared Holm of Iron Faith Records told Futurism: “All content is human generated, wrote, and composed with AI only assisting social media content.” He said the artists are real people and declined to share studio footage.

  2. Spotify

Spotify shows a “Likely AI Persona” badge on the artist profile. The badge text reads: “Spotify has applied this label because this artist reached the minimum audience for review and signals suggest their public identity may be AI-generated.” Spotify says the badge concerns the artist’s public identity, not how the music was made.

  3. Deezer

Deezer’s page for “You Cant Take My Jesus” (Oct 18, 2026) shows the “AI-generated content” notice: “This album includes tracks detected as generated with the use of AI.” “WHEN THE AMEN GETS HARD” (Oct 3, 2026) carries the same notice. A control album by a human act (Daft Punk, Discovery) showed no notice in the same check.

  4. Futurism Archived copy, saved Oct 11, 2026

Futurism described Hammer to the Cross’s lead singer as “portrayed via AI-generated imagery”, reported that an email address on RAVNLORE’s Facebook page also appears on Hammer to the Cross’s page, and that the act is on the roster of Iron Faith Records, whose president is Jared Holm. Futurism called Holm’s denial “pretty thin”.

Questions people ask

Is Hammer to the Cross AI?

Unclear. Spotify labels it “Likely AI Persona” and Deezer tags its releases “AI-generated content” (both checked Oct 24, 2026), but Jared Holm of Iron Faith Records, the label Futurism linked to it, says its music is human-made with AI used only for social media content. Futurism found that denial unconvincing.
