How YouTube Music labels AI music
Since October 14, 2026 YouTube Music shows a label on the player for songs created primarily with generative AI. Labels come from partner declarations (Fully, Partly or No Gen AI) and YouTube's own detection signals. There is no setting to hide labelled songs.
The labels
-
“Fully Gen AI”
Partner declaration: all of the content was created using generative AI.
-
“Partly Gen AI”
Partner declaration: part of the content was created using generative AI.
Where you see it
- Play the song and look for the label on the player page; tap it for details. blog.youtube
Can you hide or block AI music on YouTube Music?
Not with a built-in setting.
- There is no option to block labelled AI tracks from playlists, per Ars Technica.
Policy timeline
-
AI music labels start rolling out on YouTube Music; expansion to the main YouTube app planned.

Artists we have seen with a YouTube Music AI label
None in our files yet. Platforms roll labels out gradually, so a missing label is not proof of anything.
