Is River Cain AI?

The profile’s Spotify bio says River Cain “is an independent country artist and songwriter who writes every song he releases.” It does not mention AI.

Spotify shows a “Likely AI Persona” badge on River Cain’s profile. The badge text reads: “Spotify has applied this label because this artist reached the minimum audience for review and signals suggest their public identity may be AI-generated.” Spotify says the badge concerns the artist’s public identity, not how the music was made.

Deezer’s album page for “Hell Out Of Me” (single, May 29, 2026) shows the “AI-generated content” notice: “This album includes tracks detected as generated with the use of AI.” “Hell Out Of Me”, “Mama’s Boy” and “Gone But Not Forgotten” carry the same notice.

The AI Musicpreneur reports that River Cain’s TikTok profile carries an AI persona label, that the Instagram account presents the act as AI, and that clips showing River Cain on America’s Got Talent are fabricated. It also found three separate River Cain profiles on Apple Music.

Showbiz411’s Roger Friedman reports five River Cain singles on the US iTunes chart, with “Hell Out of Me” at No. 3 and “Mama’s Boy” at No. 4, calls the singer AI-created and says the creator is unknown. The releases credit a label called Storm Records.
