Is Kimo Sounds AI?

The description of the official “Rise Slow” video on the Kimo Sounds YouTube channel, which links to the artist’s Spotify and Apple Music pages, ends with: “AI-assisted music creation.” The video’s “How this was made” panel reads “Made with AI”: “Sounds or visuals were altered or fully generated.”

Spotify shows a “Likely AI Persona” badge on the artist profile. The badge text reads: “Spotify has applied this label because this artist reached the minimum audience for review and signals suggest their public identity may be AI-generated.” Spotify says the badge concerns the artist’s public identity, not how the music was made.

Deezer’s album page for “Rise Slow” (single, May 19, 2026) shows the “AI-generated content” notice: “This album includes tracks detected as generated with the use of AI.” “After the Fall”, “Pieces Of Me”, “Deep house music”, “The Comeback” and “Rise Slow (Alok Remix)” carry the same notice.

Apple Music’s artist bio says: “Kimo Sounds is an AI-assisted electronic project led by Moroccan producer” and names the streaming hits “Rise Slow” and “Pieces of Me”.
