    The Velvet Sundown releases two albums, Floating On Echoes and Dust And Silence, within a month and lands on popular Spotify playlists.

  2. Event 2 of 7

    The band passes 550,000 Spotify monthly listeners and, facing AI accusations, posts a response that Digital Music News headlines as calling its music “100% human-made”.

    BBC reports that a man using the name Andrew Frelon, who had claimed in early July to speak for the band, now calls it a hoax, and that the band’s Spotify page says it has no affiliation with him. Deezer tells the BBC its detector flagged the music as “100% AI generated”.
